This game, created by our french partner Infinitivity Design Labs is the 4th Project Result of our Flood Stopping Project. Get ready to embark on a thrilling adventure that combines the excitement of gaming with the importance of active citizenship and flood risk management knowledge!
Our game is more than just a game – it’s an educational tool that revolutionizes the way we approach flood management strategies for climate change adaptation.
At the heart of Flood Stopping lies a noble mission: to empower teachers and students to become active and committed citizens while equipping them with essential knowledge about flooding risk and management. Players are thrust into the heart of various simulation scenarios intricately linked with the rich learning content derived from the Flood Stopping innovative educational tools created in the last months by the other partners of this project. Through storytelling, mapping, and gaming AR tools, players are empowered to take on different roles and tackle various challenges head-on.
AR technology enhances our perception of the real world by overlaying digital data onto it. In this game, there is a marker – based AR overlay since each challenge merges physical activity with virtual elements in order to create augmented reality learning environments. Scanning QR codes with their smartphones, players, on site or online, can play the game using the digitized information conveyed by the project through videos, podcasts and digital maps. Also, 3D objects are placed into the player’s environment as part of the game scenarios. Players have also the chance to play a projection based AR scenario, using VR glasses.

Each scenario is carefully designed to promote critical thinking and collaboration skills, as players must work together to devise effective flood management strategies.
